First title of 2005!
Jesse (FC Kirov Desperado at Aria, SC, FCh) added FC to the FRONT of his name by garnering the last three points of his AKC FC the second weekend of January.
Banshee (Aria's Haunted Gold, JC) has earned all her points for her ASFA FCh, and just lacks one placement. She started 2005 with big wins at the Cartersville ASFA Trials, then moved on to add TWO four point majors in AKC coursing.
Dawn (Aria's The Dawn Rider, JC) - Dawn ran in her first ASFA trial in Cartersville on January 2, and earned 14 points. She followed up her success by earning her JC the next weekend.
Highlights of 2004:
Kirov Desperado at Aria, SC, FCh - Jesse earned a 3 point major his first time in the conformation ring, then moved to the field and finished his ASFA FCh, and earned placements and over 1/3 of the points needed for an ASFA LCM.
Aria's Texas Terror, SC, FCh - Terri finishes her ASFA FCh and her AKC FC - just a few singles left. She earned points in her first conformation shows, too!
FC Svora's Solfeggietto at Aria, SC, FCh - finishes her AKC and ASFA field championships, and finishes 2004 in the AKC coursing Top Ten. Solfe' is the youngest borzoi ever to earn an AKC Field Championship!
MBISS Ch Chataqua's Valimir of Kyrov, SC - Val took a brief break from retirement to attend the Rocky Mountain Borzoi Club fall Specialty - and went first Award of Merit, Best Veteran, and Best Stud Dog under respected breeder judge Henri Goldner. We would have liked to do even better, but Valimir gracefully gave his daughter (Ch Kyrov's Imagination Chataqua) her due - she went Best of Breed! Val's son Hunter (Ch Sunburst Huntsman at Mechta) would not be outdone - and won the BCOC Specialty a few weeks later.
Aria's Carpe' Diem - Latina picked up more points, following her spectacular BOB over ranked specials for a major in late 2003.
